At Nordstrom's Off the Rack they had the vintage Urban Decay Heavy Metal glitter liners for 8.97 (lots of colors: Midnight Cowboy, Stagedive, Mullet, & a bunch more), UD vintage brow box for 13.97 (just the color Honey Pot). They also had a few OPIs from the San Fran collection, 2 from Miss Universe 2013 collection, & I spotted at least one Mariah Carey Holiday Color: Warm Me Up. All the OPIs are 7.97
ReplyDeleteI found new e.l.f. sets in the green cardboard stocking stuffer displays at Target last night. These new sets have black packaging instead of the white packaging of the main e.l.f. LE holiday sets. There were two different Hypershine trios ($3.99), a Super Glossy Lip Shine trio ($3.99), and two different nail polish trios ($4.99). They were in displays scattered around the women's sections.

DeleteSan Diegans in particular- I found an entire shelf of high-end perfume-brand knockoffs at Big Lots for $1, in a set with a coordinating mini lotion- the sets were out a few weeks ago & are now on the back shelves. They come in cute little rollerballs & are divine! Can't recommend them enough!

ReplyDeleteThe Finger Paints Enchanted Winter collection looks to have some close or dupe polishes to OPI/Nicole texture polishes. Enchanted Winter looks like a dupe of Cinna-Man of My Dreams, Sparkle in the Sky is pretty close to Alcatraz Rocks, and Spell Binding looks like it should be very similar to My Cherry Amour. And NOT a dupe, but Winter Chill reminds me of a texture version of BL The Black Knight/HC Bite of Black/PI Private Show.

ReplyDeleteAny Duck Dynasty and/or nail polish fans (I fall in the latter category): last night at work I put up a Duck Dynasty beauty display. A couple of the nail colors were up my alley (I picked up the shade "Color-Changin Mallard" which is a BEAUTIFUL olivey-yellow and pink duochrome with shimmer), but I respect the differing taste and I see where this could appeal to some. There are 15 colors total retailing for $3.97 at Walmart. There are all different kinds of shades and finishes, from highlighter yellow, to duochrome, to splatter and shimmer. There were also several other beauty products on the display. There were loofahs, travel nail kits, nail polish strips, and that was only 1/4th of the floor display! If it's any help, I live in the northeastern US, and I expect these will start popping up all over the place soon (if they haven't already).

DeleteG, I got a sample of a Korres product from Sephora (the Greek Yoghurt Sleeping Facial) and wanted to buy the full-size which is $45. My friend mentioned that HSN carries Korres, so I checked it out and they have a set of 2 Sleeping Facials and 2 Greek Yoghurt Moisturizers for $45. Then I googled and found a coupon code that starts today for $20 off a $40 purchase, so my total shipped was $29.96 for the 4 products! That is insane. HSN carried Korres, Carol's Daughter, TanTowel, Lorac, Too Faced, Benefit, Deborah Lippman, and they have a lot of really great value sets.

ReplyDeleteBBB had some new Almay products. There was an illuminating primer and concealer pots..the concealers reminded me of the Bobbi Brown correctors..it was a split pan with two peachy shades. Almost bought one, but decided to wait for the reviews to roll in.
ReplyDeleteWalgreens started clearing out ALOT! of Milani cosmetics including all of the 12 hour eye pencils!! I got 1 for $3 and they have all of the high speed nail polishes and all of the baked eye shadows on clearance as well. I got caught off guard and without alot of money so I only got one of the eye pencils but hope to get the rest this week. Eek!

DeleteMeijer has ALL Revlon 40% off this week, plus there is a 2.00 off any revlon lip product on Mperks. I got a lip butter for 1.95 + tax. Also Meijer had most Milani products on clearance, including a lot of the polishes.
ReplyDeleteApologizes if this was already posted (I just did a quick search), but I noticed that some Wet n Wild eye shadows were marked as discontinued at my grocery store (Giant Eagle) this week. I didn't have time to catch all of them because I didn't have much time, and it was too difficult to take pictures. But I saw that about half of the single eye shadows, and half of the the 3 pans were marked. Nutty was one of the singles marked as discontinued, and I know that there's many fans of it on here. If I get a chance, I'll go back over and take notes, but I'm sure we'll start seeing these marked down other places soon.

They were buried under a bunch of E.L.F. kits and other makeup related items that were also new to the store. I had been in a week prior as well and the NARS and a bunch of the other makeup items were not there, so they must have just been put out very recently.

ReplyDeleteI went shopping on Stila's web site last night. My favorite liquid eye liner is their Stila's Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner. There are six different shades on there right now for only $6.00 each (usually $22.00 each!). Five shades are listed together, and then Flash is listed separately for some reason. Sale is through December 9. I also got a Prime Pot in Taffy (this is the only shade on sale) for only $5.00 (usually $20.00). I was excited! I know you had mentioned their warehouse sale, G, but I didn't realize it would include my favorites at such a steep discount.

DeleteThe Walgreens closest to me just put up a display of the CoverGirl Tru Magic Mattifier balm stuff and it is so WEIRD. I'm looking for a good review; it was $12 and I was too skeptical to try it on my face. Looks like lip balm but it's silky and silicone-y. There were testers for the clear, bronze, and highlighter versions and I want all three!

I found yesterday in Big Lots a pack of two Rimmel London lip liners called vinyl Jelly Gloss Lip Liner for only $2 dlls so is $1 each there where 6 different shades but only pick two packs the Brown-nudes and the berry ones,brown-nudes (008-choccie,007 fudge) Berries (009-hot spark, 002 be a star) the other ones where pinks but I didn't buy it they are so soft and pigmented I love them! ReplyDeleteFound an end cap full of Bliss products. They are FULL SIZE products! Body butters in tubes, body washes for $9.99, (Sephora is currently offering them for $10 now) small size hand cream, facial moisturizers and washes, body waxes and others I don't remember! Great to make your own Bliss beauty gift baskets. These products are sealed so if you find one that is open do not buy.
Another end cap full of nail polish goodies including Ciate caviar manicure sets from Spring 2013! They had the pink, yellow and baby blue colors. Ciate velvet manicure in mink, and a foil like manicure that contains clear nails, glue and different color foils. All for $9.99 each. Retails for $25! Found OPI, Sephora by OPI and Nicole by OPI holiday twin packs and mini sets. Essie Nail polish for $4.99 looked like brights and neon colors. If you can't find these on an end cap, check the registers cause I found more there!
I found a handful of Katy Perry lashes by the registers along side the nail polishes. They looked like basic black lashes not the colored ones.

My Target has 2-packs of various cosmetics on clearance for just under $5. They had packs of Covergirl Clump Crusher, Maybelline Colossal mascara, Maybelline Falsies Black Drama, and Revlon Lip butters in Creme Brulee and Berry Smoothie. They also had Maybelline Baby Lips in 2-packs for just under $3.

ReplyDeleteDropped by Sally's today and noticed that they expanded their OPI display to 96 shades (I think), plus a lot of accessories, including gel items. So it appears that it's not only the small best seller display that will be at Sally's. Also a lot of the Finger Paints polishes, probably half of them, were 2.99 and had a 'last chance' sticker. The girl working there mentioned that they are going to be doing a redesign.

ReplyDeleteWhile I was at Rite Aid today taking advantage of the Almay liquid lip balm deal, I spotted a small Sinful Colors display. It may have been a small Spice It Up display, but I'm not sure. I picked up what I believe is a new color called Taupe It Off (#1328). I think it is very close to what STELLA was, maybe a little more gray, but I never did get Stella either. The display had another color that I had never seen before which I believe was called Black Cherry and I almost picked that one up but put it back. It was a dark, almost black, vampy cherry red/burgundy color. I apologize for not getting more info, but I was in a bit of a rush.

I found a Sinful Colors Display at Walmart today that was mostly the same colors as the Decorate Decadently Collection at Walgreens but it had two colors I've never seen before: Garden Party (looks like a slightly bluer, slightly darker, slightly more cream version of Irish Green) and Palm Breezy (teal foil).
ReplyDeleteI saw in a coupon insert from today's paper that herbal essences is coming out with a new "naked" collection - shampoo and conditioners with no heavy residues, dyes, or parabens. while that is pretty exciting, I am jumping up and down at the fact that they are also coming out with a dry shampoo!!! their website said it would be out january 2014, i would love to see sightings posts and reviews of these products :) they also had dry shampoos in their other collections (color me happy, body envy, etc.) THANKS!!
ReplyDeleteI was at CVS and found a new NYC quick dry nail polish display entitled "Show Stopper!" It had 7 new shades including a gold flakie topcoat ("Top of the Gold") that is a dupe for Zoya Maria Luisa (I swatched them). There is a mixed glitter top coat (blue and holo hex, "Disco Inferno:) and 5 pastel creams: "Mint'ed on Broadway" (mint cream) "NY Blues" (cream blue darker than raindrop) "Nolita's lavender" "Lafayette Pink" and Hampton's Peach". I have pics of the whole display, of Top of the Gold and T.o.t.G. swatched next to Maria Luisa if you would like them.

ReplyDeleteSaw three new hair care displays at my Rite Aid today, I don't think I have seen you mention. One was a Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser line - shampoo,cond, split end mender type product, and Strength Reconstructing Butter(which I bought) Garnier Fructis Style De-Constructed Beach Chic line which contained a putty type product, a Texturizing Spray(which I bought) and I believe one other spray type product. And finally a new L'Oreal Advanced Hairstyle styling product display. I assume this is more styling products to accompany the already existing products. This display was divided into categories and were color coded simliarly to the existing Advanced line. I checked and these products are on L'Oreal's website now.
ReplyDeleteAt my local NY Shop Rite grocery store I spotted a few nail polish sets from different companies. I was very rushed for time, so I could take pics with my cell or spend a ton of time writing down the info, but I think I remember everything correctly. There was an 8 pack of A Perfect "10" polishes for $7.99, at least two different combos of Revlons polishes for $7.99, and a 4 pack of Nicole by OPI for $10.00. I noticed the Revlon packs contained polishes that had been previously released in the core line, like Blue Lagoon, but I don't know about the other brands.

ReplyDeleteAt my CVS today I saw repackaged/reformulated Maybelline expertwear shadows... they all were labelled "new" but none of them were actually new colors. Has anyone compared them to the old ones to see if there are changes to the formula? Just based on looking at them from the outside of the palette they do appear to be "looser" in texture and possibly have more shimmer than before, but I did not want to buy a duplicate of ones I already owned just to check.

I've recently picked up a few polishes that are absolutely gorgeous: Sinful Colors Nail Junkie, and Nicole by OPI Be Awesome (diamond shaped multi colored flakes..it's gotta be a top coat, but seems like it'd be perfect for the readers), Sinful Colors Bali Mist and Maybelline Color Show Emerald City and Wild at Heart. Revlon has new lashes out...there was a display at HEB along with the Essence Display. Unfortunately, my husband was waiting and I couldn't take pictures.

It was only select shades of the Color Play Creme Eyeshadow (Time Willow Tell and Coco something, it was a dark brown cream color), the Kiss Sticks in Chocolate Lily, Black Rose, Pink Flamingo and Petunia Petals, and all of the Petite Fleurs Pocket Triplets. The Creme Eyeshadows are $4, the Kiss Sticks are $3 and I believe the Pocket Trios are $2 or $3 ^^
ReplyDeleteDupe alert.. Maybelline Buffs in Espresso Exposed is a 90% dupe of Mac's Carnal Instinct lipstick from the Magnetic Nude collection. Same depth in tone, Maybelline isnt a frost but a creme and slightly more grape tone than Carnal Instinct which has a slight copper frost. In darker lighting you cannot tell the difference at all. :)

ReplyDeleteI had a really hard time finding reviews for the new Rimmel Stay Matte primer so I thought I would post a little one here. I have extreme combo skin. This is one of the nicest primers I've found, it even beats the BR complexion perfection. It's very thick and creamy and a little goes a long way. Blends out very well, smooths texture, and instantly mattifies. Does not cling to dry patches. I've worn it with the new Stay Matte foundation, alone, and with CG Simply Ageless so far and it improves the oil control over the course of the day with all three. I tried it the first time on bare skin and was impressed but I still get even better results by including MOM and oil control powder so it is not a miracle but certainly has it's place in my routine. The new Stay Matte foundation is great for those who want good coverage, true matte finish, and have oily skin. I would not suggest it for anyone with dry skin as it does cling a bit to dry patches and is not moisturizing in the slightest. It's extremely thick and a little goes a long way, I apply with fingers and would not suggest a brush, but it blends well considering. Over the primer and powdered it lasted all day no problem. Neither product have broken me out. Hope this helps someone.

ReplyDeleteLast year Sally Hansen Complete Manicure discontinued "#240 Choco-latte" which was my holy grail nail polish. Although it looks pink in the bottle this is my PERFECT nude colored polish (skin tone: golden medium, polish description: warm pinky nude with a cream finish) and I always used to get compliments on it. After it was discontinued I tried the next shade "#250 Mudslide" which looked very similar in the bottle, however that one dried way darker and too pink. After buying and swatching different polishes against my beloved "#240 Choco-latte" for almost a year, my sister surprised me by taking my color to a nail polish supply warehouse.... And now we have a near perfect dupe, Essie's "Mambo"!!! Yay! The colors dry to the exact same color, but the only minor difference is that Essie's "Mambo" has few bits of microscopic shimmer, but honestly you can't tell unless you hold your nails 4 inches away from your face and I don't mind at all. Now I'm back to getting lots of nail polish compliments (Seriously, the color is that amazing!)
I hope this helps any ladies looking for that perfect nude polish! I know that it looks pink in the bottle, but the slight warmth compliments golden undertones so well!

Nordstroms Rack has Urban Decay lip liners in wicked, midnight cowgirl, NAKED! and Paranoid for $7.97!! They are the ones that were recently discontinued, but they are so nice! They also have Greed primer potion for $9.97 and the brow box (presumably the older packaging) for i think around $14!

I tried my best to decipher the names since they are kind of abbreviated. Feel Vibe 1214, Beatnik 1420, Gogo Boots 1421, Jolt 1210, Chic chick 1418, Hip to be a square 1419, Energetic red 1122, boom boom 851. The other display is called Mod Bloom and here are the colors: Cream soda 1414, Mad hue 1417, Violets blue 1410, Bright luct...? 1411, Daisy Daze 1415, Baby blues 1416, Pink poppy 1412, Nice Stems 1413. So with all these high numbers I think there are lots of new colors! I will try to take pictures when they come in Tuesday for you if I can without my boss thinking I'm crazy!

Maybe I am out of touch, but I don't remember seeing a line called "Maybelline Baby Lips Crystal" before. The color names listed are "Beam of Blush", "Gleaming Coral", "Crystal Kiss", "Mirrored Mauve", "Pink Quartz" and "Twinkling Taupe". I Googled them and found nothing. ReplyDeleteI was at Rite Aid today and they had LE colored Loreal voluminous mascaras and matching LE liners.. sorry can't recall which liners they were. They also had the entire display of Nicole by OPI polishes on clearance for $1.80. At Sally's beauty supply Femme Couture had new shadows pretty much identical to Loreal infallible shadows.. they all appeared to be unique shades compared to the infallibles except for one which is a light beige. Currently on sale for $4.99. I grabbed three of them, but have not had a chance to try them out yet. Albertsons had a display of 12 pan LA Color palettes I had never seen before.. they are rectangular pans in a long rectangular pallet with a clear lid and LAC printed across it. There was smoky (including browns and blues along with the usual greys/blacks), pinks, greens, blues, purples, and neutrals. I picked up two and did a few swatches with the green one, every color I tried was very pigmented and smooth. A great palette for under $3.

ReplyDeleteI got the Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream at Big Lots the other day and it was only $5. The best part was that I checked the expiration date and it was 7/2014. I went to CVS today and saw that the expiration date on the ones there were listed as 3/2014, so not only did I pay less than half price for it, but it will also last twice as long as the drugstore product!
ReplyDeleteMy local Rite Aid (Connecticut) had 3 new Sinful Color displays. The first was called Mod Bloom, which was all pastel colors; the second was called Oh My Mod, and that had all bright colors; and the third was their annual St Patricks Day display which did include Green Ocean once again...and seeing I missed out on it for 2 years running you better believe I bought all 3 bottles that were in the display :) I did take pics of all 3 displays and individual bottle shots but they don't seem to want to upload right now...u gotta just love technology sometimes lol...I will try again a little later though!

I went to CVS today and they have a Milani sale buy one get one 50% off. They were re-modeling the displays to put all the new stuff in.
And those Neutral eyeshadow creamy pencils? THEY ARE NOW PERMANENT!! They are in the permanent display stacked right above the regular line of the shadow pencils!!!

ReplyDeleteI was at Walmart in San Diego today and I spotted 4 new variations of Aussie's 3 minute miracle! They had one for color treated hair, one for strength, one for shine, and one for frizz. They were located next to the original 3MM and were the same price. (~$3.00)

ReplyDeleteAt Dollar Tree they had loads of Milani Liquif'eye pencils (retractable and otherwise) in fun colors: gold, silver, turquoise, dark blue, and purple. They also had several shades of the Milani baked shadow singles. I was surprised at this new development, because I was at Dollar Tree not too long ago and these weren't there -- but they had a whole bunch of the HD Advanced Concealer (again, Milani). I bought one, and loved it, so I went back and bought a few more :P
At Big Lots there were some fresh shades of Super Lustrous lipsticks, but the exciting part: four shades of lip butters! I shared a picture on Instagram of the four shades.
In Ft Myers, FL- Spotted NYC Limited edition (what looked to be a Valentines Set) Double Eye Pencil in Red/Gold, Two LE Individual Eyes Custom Compacts, & Four Nail Polishes: All at CVS! Going back tonight to get more information! Ladies, be on the lookout!

Delete1/25/14 -> Big lots in Gardena, Ca 90249 - I got 3 revlon lippies for $2.00 each. Got the "foiled" lipgloss, "cherry tart" lipbutter, and "Pink in the Afternoon" lipstick. They had a few other colors in glosses and lipstick as for the lipbutters I remember seeing "brown sugar" and "creamsicle". They also had the Wnw 6pan set for $3.50.
ReplyDeleteIf you were planning to buy and review the new-ish Revlon eye shadow singles that hook together, DON'T! I tried Melon (shimmer) and Plum (matte) and they were both awful.
